- Mersin (Turkey) → overland to Kurdistan Region: 45-55 days total. Serves Erbil, Sulaymaniyah, Dohuk.
Duty & Tax Structure (2026 baseline)
- Import duty: Typically 15-25% for passenger vehicles.
- Reconstruction fee & other charges: Vary by governorate, budget 5-10%.
- Kurdistan Region has its own tariff regime that may differ from federal Iraq — confirm delivery point before shipment.

Age Restrictions
Iraq is more permissive than most GCC markets — passenger vehicles up to 10-15 years old are accepted depending on governorate and vehicle category. This makes Iraq a viable destination for older Chinese stock that would not clear UAE or Saudi Arabia.
